Alivia Brown earned her first win as a professional Wednesday on the fourth stop of the Catus Tour in Las Vegas. Brown, one of the most decorated Cougars in program history, completed the tournament with a six-under, 210 – four strokes ahead of Gigi Stoll and Sophia Popov from Tigard, Ore. and Germany, respectfully. Through the tournament, Brown carded impressive rounds – posting 10 birdies through the three rounds. Brown previously picked up a top-10 finish in July on the Cactus Tour, tying for sixth at two-over par in the summer event. On the final day of the tournament, Brown carded the tournament's low round of four-under, 68.
The Cactus Tour was created for professional women golfers as a place to play outside the LPGA and the Symetra Tour. He tour draws women golf professional from all major world tours to first-year professional, as well as amateur looking to hone their skills.
Brown completed her Cougar career with a top-50 ranking and culminating Honorable Mention All-Pac-12 honors. The four-year Cougar finished her season with a program-record stroke of 72.79. A native of Gig Harbor, Wash., Brown left Washington State with six individual records including both season and career rounds of par or better, season records for Par-3 and Par-4 scoring, rounds played, and career birdies. Brown also finished her illustrious career as the only Cougar to ever make multiple NCAA Regionals as an individual, playing in the postseason three of her four years, including a trip to the NCAA Championship as a freshman.
