SEATTLE –
The Washington State University Track and Field program saw distance runners shine at the Last Chance College Elite inside the Dempsey Indoor Friday afternoon.
The Cougars were anchored by
Kaili Keefe and
Emma Jenkins who both posted top ten Washington State Track and Field marks in the mile event. Keefe ran a PR of 4:46.21 for third best, while Jenkins finished with a PR of 4:49.67 for fifth all-time as well. The 800m race saw
Natalie Ackerley leading the way for WSU, placing 10th overall at 2:10.26.
Washington State on the men's side saw incredible success in the mile as
Paul Ryan placed first overall with a PR of 4:02.43 in the event. Multiple top ten finishes followed in the mile from
Zach Stallings in sixth at 4:07.43, and
Justin Janke placed 10th overall at 4:10.35.
Amir Ado recorded a third place finish in the 3000m at 8:20.85, and
Noah Wallace posted a PR in the 800m at 1:54.71 as well.
