>
Morgan Weaver erased the memories of recent struggles with a two goal, one assist night against Utah Thursday. The senior enters the day with seven goals on the year and 35 for her career, third most in program history.
>

LAST TIME OUT
On a frigid Halloween night on the Palouse, Washington State's offense caught fire as the Cougars pounded the visiting Utah Utes, 4-1, at Lower Soccer Field. The attack was led by star forward
Morgan Weaver who found her magic touch once again as the senior notched a pair of goals and an assist on the night. Washington State nearly doubled its scoring output in Pac-12 play with four goals against the Utes after entering the night's contest with just five goals in the first eight games of conference play.
AN RPI GAME
Playing in the ultra-tough Pac-12 has its advantages as the Cougars enter the week ranked #26 in the RPI. Last season the Cougs were ranked #38 at the end of the year when WSU earned a home game in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
WSU is the fifth-highest ranked team in the Pac-12 trailing #1 Stanford, #5 USC, #10 Washington, and #11 UCLA. The conference has eight teams inside the top-40 and six inside the top-20.
COUGAR VETS LEADING THE WAY
Despite the loss of a few key players from last season, the 2019 Cougars are back and better than ever as eight of 11 starters returned headlined by all-region honoree
Morgan Weaver up top and goalkeeper
Ella Dederick between the posts. The two captains lead a stacked team of veteran players who have advanced to the second-round of the NCAA Tournament in each of the last two seasons. In addition, the Cougars returned 29 goals (70% of their scoring) from 2018.
The vets have contributed 21 goals and 27 assists.
