OPENING XI
> Washington State finished the regular season with 12 wins for the second-straight season.
> WSU is heading into the postseason off a loss for the first time having fallen in the Apple Cup for the first time in 15 seasons with a 1-0 loss at Washington last Friday.
> The NCAA bid is the Cougs third-straight and eighth in the last nine seasons. The Cougs host the first round for the second-consecutive season.
> The Cougs have never faced Memphis. The Tigers are in their eighth NCAA Tournament and have made three of the last four. Memphis took home the AAC regular season title. 
> WSU has advanced to the second round in back-to-back seasons for the first time in program history. The Cougs are 4-10-4 all-time in the NCAA Tournament.
> Last season the Cougs won their first round game at home 5-1 over Montana before falling at No. 2 Georgetown, 1-0, in Washington D.C.
> Five Cougs were named All-Pac-12: Morgan Weaver (2nd Team), Brianna Alger, Averie Collins, Ella Dederick (3rd Team), and MacKenzie Frimpong-Ellertson (All-Frosh).
> Morgan Weaver finished the season tied for fourth in the Pac-12 with 11 goals including scoring six in Pac-12 play including a record four the last time WSU played at home.
> The Cougars defense has been solid all year allowing just 1.16 gpg, while producing seven shutouts in 19 games. In the last nine contests the Cougs have earned three shutouts and given up one goal or fewer in seven contests
> 11 different Cougars have scored on the year led by Morgan Weavers' 11. Eight different Cougs have scored game-winners with Weaver, Collins, Gomera-Stevens and Bennett tied at two. The 11 scorers and 36 total goals are the same total the Cougs finished the 2018 regular season with.
> Brianna Alger finished the regular season #36 in the nation in assists per game at 0.47 (9 total) and tied for #4 in the Pac-12. WSU is #25 overall in assists per contest at 2.00 (38 total).

COUGS HEADED TO THE POSTSEASON
The Cougs return to the postseason for the eighth time in nine seasons and the 10th time in the last 12 years. The bid to the NCAA Tournament is the third-straight for WSU and the second-straight season the Cougs earned a home game for the second-straight year. WSU sports a 4-10-4 record in the NCAA tournament after going 1-1-0 last season. WSU advanced out of the first round in each of the last two years, the first time in program history the Cougs earned back-to-back first round wins. Last year at home, WSU dismantled Montana, 5-1, in the first round before falling 1-0 at No. 2 Georgetown in Washington D.C. In 2017, the Cougs pushed their way to the third round for the first time in program history.
At home, the Cougs are 1-3-1 in the postseason with their first win coming last season against Montana.

WAZZU IN THE REGULAR SEASON
The Cougs finished the regular season 12-6-1 overall and 5-5-1 in Pac-12 play, good for sixth in the conference. The 12 wins matched their win total from 2018 as the two seasons were nearly identical on the scoresheet. The Cougs biggest win of the year came on the road at No. 20 Cal, knocking off the Bears 1-0 in overtime. The Cougs scored 36 goals and posted 38 assists in the regular season led by Morgan Weavers 11 goals and four assists. On the year WSU took home four weekly awards with Brianna Alger earning two defensive awards while Weaver and Averie Collins each earned one offensive award.
