Women's Golf Travels to Hawaii for the Nanea Pac-12 Preview

The Cougars close out their fall schedule with a trip to Kailua Kona, Hawaii for the Nanea Pac-12 Preview hosted by the University of Hawaii. The tournament will be played at the Nanea Golf Club at a par 73 at 6,372 yards.

THE FIELD
The field for the 12-team tournament will be Washington State, Washington, Stanford, California, UCLA, USC, Oregon State, Colorado, Arizona, Arizona State, and Hawaii.

"We are excited to head to the Pac-12 Preview to close out the fall season. The Pac-12 Preview is an event we look forward to all fall. Nanea is a great golf course and the field is one of the best in the country. Our focus this week is on one shot at a time and our Cougar PRIDE Scores (Purpose, Resilience, Integrity, Discipline, Energy)."

REPRESENTING WASHINGTON STATE
Representing the Cougars in Kailua Kona will be senior Marie Lund-Hansen, junior Emily Baumgart, sophomores Amy Chu and Darcy Habgood, and freshman Jiye Ham.

LAST TIME ON THE GREEN
The last time the Cougars were in action came during the Stanford Invitational where the Cougars finished in 10th place with a score of 583 (+15). Senior Marie Lund-Hansen led the way for the Cougars going two-under-par in her final round of play. Lund Hansen finished with a score of 217 (+4) and tied for 26th against a stacked field in Stanford.

COACHING STAFF
The team is led by 11th-year head coach Kelli Kamimura, who led the women's golf team to eleven program records, a tournament title, and an individual NCAA berth in the 2017-18 season. WSU alumna Emma Betland is entering her fifth season as an assistant coach. Betland golfed at WSU from 2010-2013.
