OPENING XI
> Washington State suffered it's first conference loss and just second loss of the year at #2 Stanford Thursday night.
> The 5-0 loss to the Cardinal was the most goals given up since relinquishing five at Stanford in 2010. The shutout was the first of the year suffered by WSU.
> The six shots at Stanford was a season-low, the previous was 17 in the first nine games.
> WSU looks to finish its road trip strong at #20 Cal. Last season the Cougs won 4-2 in Pullman but have lost the last two in Berekely. The last win on the road came in 2014, 1-0.
> WSU enters the week 5-1 in one-goal matches including winning four-straight. Last season the Cougs were 4-3 in such matches while going 7-6 in 2017.

> Ella Dederick became the all-time leader in wins at 45 with her victory over Oregon State passing all-time great Gurveen Clair (2011-14). She passed Clair for No. 3 all-time in saves at Stanford moving to 259 career saves.
> 10 different Cougars have scored on the year with Morgan Weaver and Averie Collins leading the way with five goals each. Seven different Cougs have scored game-winners.
> WSU is ranked #16 in the nation in scoring of offense at 2.50 goals per game (25 total).
> Morgan Weaver, named to the MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List to start the year, is tied for third all-time in program history in scoring with 33 goals and fifth in points with 74.
> Brianna Alger is 21st in the nation in assists per game at 0.60 (6 total) and tied for #2 in the Pac-12. WSU is #11 overall in assists per contest at 2.50 (25 total).
LAST TIME OUT
The Cougs aggressive play was turned against them at #2 Stanford Thursday night as the Cardinal scored five times to hand WSU its toughest loss since the 2010 season. The Cardinal scored a pair of goals to break open the game in a matter of :30 seconds to bracket the halftime break, netting a PK with :12 to play in the opening half before turning the second half kickoff into a quick strike goal that grew a one-goal lead into an insurmountable three-goal advantage. Catarina Macario had her foot on four of the five goals, scoring twice and assisting on two more.
DEDERICK, THE ALL-TIME WINS LEADER
After missing most of the 2018 season due to injury, star keeper Ella Dederick returned for the 2019 season and now has become the Cougars' all-time leader in wins with 45. She earned the record victory in a 2-1 win over Oregon State, Sept. 28, at home at Lower Soccer Field. On the year, Dederick is 8-2 with 3.5 shutouts and a 1.20 GAA.
