LAST TIME OUT
A pair of early goals put the Cougs in a hole it could not recover from as USC dropped the Cougs with a 3-0 decision on a scorching afternoon in Los Angeles. Using individual brilliance, USC's Tara McKeown, the second-leading scorer in the Pac-12, notched an early brace for the Trojans, netting the would-be game-winner just 3:52 into the contest. She would strike again 13 minutes later on a counter that doubled the lead outracing the Cougars' defense before finding the back of the net a second time.

AN RPI GAME
Playing in the ultra-tough Pac-12 has its advantages as the Cougars enter the week ranked #18 in the RPI. Last season the Cougs were ranked #38 at the end of the year when WSU earned a home game in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
WSU is the fourth-highest ranked team in the Pac-12 trailing #1 Stanford, #4 USC, and #12 Washington. The conference has eight teams inside the top-40 and five inside the top-20.

ROAD WARRIORS
A season after setting the program record for wins at home, the Cougars have taken their talents on the road this season with an impressive 6-2 mark away from Lower Soccer Field. The Cougs have earned five of their seven shutouts on the road, allowing just one goal to teams not named the Stanford or USC.
WSU's biggest win to date came on the road at #20 Cal when the Cougs won a 1-0 overtime thriller over the Golden Bears.
