Ryan Falk Makes Waves for the Cougars in the win Against Idaho

PULLMAN, WASH. - Washington State beat Idaho 173-89 to open homecoming weekend at Gibb Pool Friday. Senior Ryan Falk led the way with a meet-high 27 points and was a part of four wins in front of many Cougar Alumni who were recognized during the first break. Junior Taylor McCoy and Sophomore Lauren Burckel each won a pair of races.
Falk opened her night winning the 1000 free with a new personal best time of 10:26.42 and came back in the very next event to win the 200 free by .43 seconds. Later in the meet Falk notched another win in the 500 free. Along with her individual events Falk was apart of the winning 400 free relay that also included Emily Barrier, Payton Bokowy and Keiana Fountaine.
Burckel won the 100 breast with a personal best time of 1:04.24 and notched another win in the 200 breast. Taylor McCoy also placed first in the 200 back and the 200 IM.
Sophomore Keiana Fountaine and junior Chole Larson each had one individual win, Larson in the 50 free and Fountaine in the very next event the 100 free.
The Cougars were the top three finishers in the 500 free, 100 free, 200 back and the 200 IM.
WSU will travel to Stanford, Calif. to take on the Cardinal Oct 23.
