GAME INFORMATION - VS OREGON STATE
Finishing off their three-game stretch against the top-10 the Cougars take on #9 Oregon State Sunday at Beasley Coliseum. The game is the second go-around for the two teams after the Beavers took the first contest in Corvallis, 76-69, Jan. 4. The last two games between the two teams have come down to the final minute with the Beavers escaping the upset in each contest including a 63-61 overtime win last season in Pullman. Last time in Corvallis, the Beavers closed the final 4 min on a 14-4 run to beat the Cougars.
Oregon State is coming off of a 47-point win at UW Friday night when they hit 10-of-28 three-pointers to bury the Huskies.
LAST TIME OUT
Going toe-to-toe with one of the best teams in the country, Washington State found themselves outgunned in a shootout with No. 5 Oregon who used a barrage from deep in the third quarter to come away with a 79-64 win over the Cougars Friday night at Beasley Coliseum. After outshooting the Ducks in the first half to take a 34-30 lead into the break, the Cougars found themselves on the wrong side of a 17-2 run to start the second half as the Ducks found daylight behind the arc and made their open looks count to create separation in what had been a tight contest. In the loss,
Borislava Hristova scored 29 while Oregon saw Satou Sabally net a career-best 33 to lead all scorers.
BOBI BUCKETS QUEST TO BE THE ALL-TIME LEADING SCORER
Etching her name among the elite all-time in WSU history, Coug scoring sensation
Borislava Hristova, affectionately known as Bobi Buckets, became the 18th member of WSU's 1,000-point club on Feb. 2 at Arizona last season. She was the second fastest all-time to 1,000 points as the sophomore needed just 60 games to reach the millennial mark (the record, held by Jeanne Eggart WSU's all-time leading scorer, sits at 57 games).
With 1,514 points, Hristova is 5th in scoring in program history. Her 17.8 ppg career scoring average ranks third by less than a 10th of a percentage point for second all-time behind Lia Galdeira (17.8 ppg) and Eggart (18.4 ppg). The all-time record of 1,967 points is held by hall-of-famer Jeanne Eggart (1977-82) while Lia Galderia (2012-15) scored 1,710 points in the NCAA era.
The next Cougs on the list ahead of Hristova are:Â
   3. 1,541 Tia Presley 2011-15
