Bayerlova Reaches Final at Hilton Head

HILTON HEAD, S.C. -- Washington State tennis student-athlete Michaela Bayerlova cruised to a straight-set victory in her semifinal match Saturday at the ITA Hilton Head tournament at the Van Der Meet Shipyard Racquet Club.

Bayerlova, seeded No. 3 and ranked No. 601 in the world, jumped out early and never looked back as she posted a 6-2, 6-3 win over Rasheeda McAdoo in their semifinal match. Bayerlova broke McAdoo's serve six times in the match while putting 67 percent of her first serves in play.

McAdoo entered the match seeded No. 6 and is currently ranked a career-best No. 775 in the world.

In Sunday's final, Bayerlova will face top-seed Bianca Turati, who is currently ranked No. 552.. Bayerlova is looking for her fourth professional title.
