BOISE, Idaho – Washington State University tennis posted its 10th sweep of the season following a 7-0 victory at Boise State Monday. With the win, the Cougars improve to 14-1, the best start in program history. For the 13th time in 14 matches this season, the Cougars captured the opening doubles point. Identical 6-1 wins by Barbora Michalkova/Melisa Ates (No. 1) and Michaela Bayerlova/Aneta Miksovska (No. 3) secured the early lead for WSU. In singles play, the Cougars captured the first set in all six matches and only in one spot, No. 2, did they need to go to a third set. WSU was in control as sophomore Melisa Ates finished first with a 6-3, 6-3 win at No. 6, followed by freshman Michaela Bayerlova at No. 1 before senior Barbora Michalkova clinched the match with a 6-4, 6-4 win at No. 4. At No. 3, junior Tiffany Mylonas picked up her team-leading 25th singles win of the season while junior Aneta Miksovska posted her 20th win of the season. WSU is next in action Sunday when it opens Pac-12 Conference play at No. 22 Oregon. Match time is set for 11 a.m.

"I love the way we are consistently battling, fighting, and competing.  Our players have done an excellent job adapting to different environments on the road.  Boise State is always a very tough and well coached team and today was no different. We will take a few days off and then start preparing for Oregon next weekend.

• Freshman Michaela Bayerlova improved to 20-0 as a collegian, the second-longest winning streak in school history
• Senior Barbora Michalkova provided the clinching win for the second time this year, while also improving to a career-best 22-5 in singles this season
• Junior Aneta Miksovska picked up her 20th singles win, the second time in her three years she has reached that benchmark
• Sophomore Guzal Yusupova picked up her 16th singles win of the season against three defeats.
