> Washington State closes out nonconference play on the road in Las Vegas at the Duel in the Desert. The Cougs play two in the tournament facing Kansas Wednesday before taking on Northwestern or Wichita State Thursday in their final game before Pac-12 play begins Dec. 30.Â
> The Cougars need to win both games in the desert to finish nonconference play over .500 as they enter the week 4-5 overall.
> WSU and Kansas share one common opponent on the year Nebraska. The Cougs defeated the Huskers in what was coach Kamie Ethridge's first career win at WSU. Nebraska handed Kansas it's lone loss of the season. Â
