MISSOULA, Mont. – Playing their second double-overtime game of the weekend, the Cougars (5-1-2) finished 110 minutes of action with a 0-0 draw at Montana (5-4-1) Sunday afternoon. The draw bookended WSU's non-conference play with a shutout draw after opening the 2017 season with a draw against #19 Minnesota. Throughout, the Cougs had their chances to get on the board outshooting Montana, 15-10, and 6-2 in shots on goal. Freshman Makamae Gomera-Stevens had the Cougs' best chances forcing three tough saves. Defensively, the backline held the Griz in check, allowing one dangerous shot to get to keeper Ella Dederick early in the second half before clearing the danger. With non-conference play at an end, the Cougs turn their attention to the Pac-12 and No. 2 Stanford which comes to town Thursday for the PAC-12 Network's Game of the Week at Lower Soccer Field.

Coach's Quote Of The Match
"We leave here on a positive note with a result considering the circumstances we played under last game. Montana is a tough team that is very well organized and hard to break down, especially at home on a tough field to play on. I am excited for the girls and the finish to non-conference at 5-1-2. In my time at WSU I believe this was the most challenging non-conference schedule we've had. I'm excited for where we stand heading into Pac-12 play next Thursday."
