EUGENE, Ore. - On the road for the first time in Pac-12 play, the Cougs (7-3-2, 2-2-0) took advantage of a pair of first half strikes to down Oregon (6-6-0, 0-4-0), 2-1, Thursday night at Papé Field. Dominating the first 45 minutes, the Cougs made good in the 20' when freshman Brianna Alger took a clearance off the foot of Halla Hinriksdottir and slid home the first goal of the game for WSU. 12 minutes later, Morgan Weaver netted what would be the game-winning goal as she played a two-woman game with Elyse Bennett to break down the Ducks' defense. After a bad penalty allowed Oregon to cut into the Cougs' lead early in the second half, WSU's defense led by their keeper Ella Dederick, entrenched down in defensive third to stymie any comeback hopes by the Ducks.

Coach's Quote Of The Match
"We are super excited for this win tonight. It was a complete team victory. It is always tough to win on the road in the Pac-12 and we put together a gutsy performance with some great goals early. This young team continues to surprise me in great way."
