CORVALLIS, Ore. - Despite a dominating performance and a control of the stat sheet, the Cougs (7-4-2, 2-3-0) could not find the back of the net before eventually falling to Oregon State (4-6-3, 1-3-1), 1-0, in double overtime Sunday afternoon. For 101 minutes, WSU found itself in control until a foul and a free kick set up the Beavers just minutes into the second overtime period. On just their seventh shot of the game and first in overtime, Oregon State came up with the game's only goal to hand the Cougs a hard-to-swallow loss on the road. In all, WSU held a 14-7 shot advantage including seeing an early strike by Morgan Weaver ring the post while a handful of shots from Elyse Bennett were saved by the OSU keeper to hold the Cougs off the scoreboard.
