LAST TIME OUT
In a performance for the Washington State record books, the Cougars accomplished what no other team had been able to accomplish, taking down the last undefeated team with a 1-0 win over #2 UCLA... In just the fourth minute of action, the Cougs would produce the would-be game-winner when
Maegan O'Neill tapped home a loose ball inside the six that found the danger area off a Cougar corner kick...Sunday, the Cougs fell, 2-1, in a battle against #6 USC as the Trojans scored a pair of goal in the first half to best the first career strike by
Elyse Bennett.
ABOUT THE SUN DEVILS
Sitting in 9th in the Pac-12, the Sun Devils have struggled defensively in conference matchups having give up 21 goals in eight games, the most of any Pac-12 team this season...Despite the -15 goal differential, ASU has been able to post five points having picked up a win over Oregon State while earning draws with #11 Cal and most recently with Utah...ASU has scored 17 total goals on the year led by Jemma Purfield who has netted six...Purfield has added three assists to lead the way with 15 points...In goal, Nikki Panas has played the majority of minutes having started 13 matches while going 4-6-3 in goal...she sports a 1.57 GAA while producing 65 saves.

Arizona finds itself just above the Cougs in the Pac-12 standings having gone 4-2-2 in conference games...they have played only three times at home in conference action, so far, going 1-1-1 in those games with a win over Oregon and an impressive draw over then undefeated and #1 ranked UCLA...having scored 18 goals on the year, the Wildcats' top scorer, Gabi Stoian has scored three goals and claims seven points in 13 games played...defensively, the Wildcats have been tough as they have come up with six shutouts thanks to Lainey Burdett who sports a 0.74 GAA with 64 saves in 15 games.
