WOLLCOTT, Colo. – The Washington State women's golf team is tied for ninth with Central Arkansas after shooting 13-over par (301) through one round at the Golfweek Conference Challenge, Monday, at Red Sky Golf Club.
WSU is 14 strokes back of San Diego State who leads the field of 18 teams at 1-under par (287). Pepperdine is in second at 3-over par (291), and Tennessee rounds out the top three at 5-over par (293).
Junior Alivia Brown finished the first round in ninth place, shooting 1-over par (73) with three birdies.
Junior Bree Wanderscheid, sophomore Madison Odiorne, and freshman Marie Lund-Hansen are all tied for 39th through one round (+4, 76). The trio carded seven birdies throughout the day, and Odiorne carded an eagle on the back nine.
Senior Cherokee Kim shot 7-over par (79) and is tied for 61st.
