Italy Daily Journal - KJ Langston

Each day a Cougar men's basketball student-athlete will write about his experience in Italy.

Sunday, was a chill day. We packed up our bags to head from Rome to Florence. Before we left Rome, we went to Trevi Fountain, which was one of the largest fountains I've seen, besides Buckingham fountain in Chicago. I enjoyed my time there.

From there we bussed about three hours to Florence. I slept the whole bus ride. We watched the movie Gladiator, which I had never seen, but I fell asleep within two minutes. It was cool to watch that movie after just having toured the Colosseum.

We got to do a little bit more shopping in Florence. I got myself a jersey and got my mom and grandma some souvenirs. We went to a lookout point once we got to the city. The view was really nice. I think I prefer Rome a little bit more, just because there are a lot more historical sights to see. We did have a lot of bonding time as a team. We spent a lot of time in the hotel and got to know each other better.

We had lasagna for dinner, which was great. It was probably one of the top three lasagnas I've ever had, only behind my mom's and grandma's.

Our hotel is really nice in Florence and we have a beautiful view from the rooftop restaurant at breakfast time.

I'm excited for the rest of the trip!

Go Cougs!
