COUGAR TAILGATE PRIOR TO ARIZONA
Prior to Thursday's match against Arizona, Cougar soccer fans can gear up by taking part in the Cougar Tailgate, across the street from the Lower Soccer Field in the PEB overhang...the event takes place from 5 - 6:45 p.m., with food and drinks provided by Fork in the Road catering.  There will be a beer garden area for 21+ and a food area for all fans.

WASHINGTON STATE: LAST TIME OUT
Washington State dropped a tough 1-0 decision at No. 17 California on a penalty kick in the 77th minute...in a very even battle in which WSU had numerous chances, it was Cal who were the recipient of a call inside the box late in the contest...Arielle Ship converted for the Golden Bears for the lead and then the Cal defense withstood three WSU corner kicks in the final minute to hold on.

COUGARS PLAYING TEAMS CLOSE
One goal matches seem to be the morn for Washington State this season...each of WSU's last four matches have been decided by one goal, and eight of 11 contests this year...the Cougars are 3-5 in one-goal matches this year, including losses against No. 16 BYU, No. 1 Stanford and No. 17 California, and a win against No. 13 Santa Clara.

WASHINGTON STATE-ARIZONA: THE SERIES
Washington State is 15-5-1 all-time against Arizona, including an 8-4-0 record when playing in Pullman...the Wildcats have captured the last two meetings, both coming in Pullman, including a 1-0 victory last year...prior to 2014, WSU had won nine-straight matches in the series.

WASHINGTON STATE-ARIZONA STATE: THE SERIES
Washington State is 8-12-1 all-time against Arizona State...when playing in Pullman, WSU is just 1-8-1 all-time...WSU captured last year's meeting in Tempe, 2-1, and is 2-0-1 over the past three matches...WSU's lone win at home in the series was in 2008, a 1-0, 2OT victory.

NEXT UP
After this weekend's contests, the Cougars hear to Utah for a Friday, Oct. 14 meeting against the Utes, their lone match of the week...the Cougars are 5-6-1 all-time against Utah.
