KAILUA KONA, Hawaii – The Washington State women's golf team is in fifth place after shooting 25-over par (609) through two rounds at the Pac-12 Preview, Monday, at Nanea Golf Club.Â
WSU sits 17 strokes back of No. 3 Stanford, who leads the field of 11 teams at 8-over (592). No. 20 Arizona State and No. 30 Arizona are tied for second with a two-round score of 594 (+10). The Cougars moved four spots up the leaderboard from the first round and finished the day three strokes ahead of No. 1 UCLA (+28, 612).Â
Junior Alivia Brown leads the team tied for eighth after shooting 1-over par through two rounds (147). Brown shot 2-under in the second round and carded nine birdies on the day.Â
Freshman Marie Lund-Hansen, who carded eight birdies on the day, also finished in the top-25 through two rounds. Lund-Hansen, after her strongest start of the season, is tied for 16th at 4-over par (150).
Senior Cherokee Kim is tied for 33rd (+9, 155) after shooting a first-round 79 and a second-round 76. Two strokes behind Kim is sophomore Madison Odiorne, who is tied for 38th place with a two-round score of 157 (+11).
Junior Bree Wanderscheid shot 16-over through two rounds and is tied for 53rd (162).
