Washington State soccer (6-7-1, 1-5-0 Pac-12) continues its three-game stretch away from home when it visits No. 4 USC (11-3-0, 5-1-0 Pac-12) Thursday, Oct. 20 and No. 9 UCLA (10-3-1, 4-1-1 Pac-12) Sunday, Oct. 23. Match time for USC will be 2 p.m., televised by the Pac-12 Network, and for UCLA it will be a 1 p.m. start.

WASHINGTON STATE: LAST TIME OUT
Washington State dropped a tight battled, falling 1-0 at Utah...scoreless through the first 84 minutes, Utah's leading scorer, Hailey Skolmski, finished with a low shot past Ella Dederick in the 85th minute to provide the game's lone goal...it marked Skolmoski's 11th goal of the season.

COUGARS PLAYING TEAMS CLOSE
One goal matches seem to be the norm for Washington State this season...six of WSU's last seven matches have been decided by one goal, and 10 of 14 contests this year...the Cougars are 4-6 in one-goal matches this year, including losses against No. 16 BYU, No. 1 Stanford and No. 17 California, and wins against No. 13 Santa Clara and Arizona State.

WASHINGTON STATE-USC: THE SERIES
Washington State is 7-11-3 all-time against USC, including a 2-7-2 record when playing on the road...WSU has dropped the last two matches, both by 1-0 scores, with both games coming in Pullman...the last time these teams met in Los Angeles, the Cougars came away with a 2-0 victory, capping a three-year winning streak against the Trojans.

WASHINGTON STATE-UCLA: THE SERIES
Washington State is 3-16-4 all-time against UCLA, including a 1-9-2 record when playing on the Bruin campus...WSU captured a 4-2 decision last season in Pullman...the Cougars lone win at UCLA came in 1993, a 4-2, 2OT victory.

NEXT UP
After this weekend's contests, the Cougars return to Pullman for matches against Oregon State (Oct. 27) and Oregon (Oct. 30)...The Oregon State match will be televised by the Pac-12 Network while the Oregon contest can be seen on wsucougars.com...13-9-3 all-time against Oregon State and 11-4-5 in the series against Oregon.

COUGAR UNDERCLASSMEN CARRYING SCORING LOAD
Cougar freshman Morgan Weaver and first-year sophomore Alysha Overland, comprise one of the top underclassmen scoring duos in the Pac-12 this season...with a combined 12 goals (Weaver 8 and Overland 4), they are the second-highest scoring duo among Pac-12 underclassmen, training only Colorado's 14 goals by freshman Taylor Kornieck and sophomore Sarah Kinzner...add in WSU freshman Katie Jones and her two goals, underclassmen account for 14 of WSU's 17 goals this season (82.4 percent).

WASHINGTON STATE HEAD COACH TODD SHULENBERGER
Cougar Head Coach Todd Shulenberger is in his second year at Washington State…in 2015 Shulenberger became the seventh head coach in program history after spending the previous two seasons as the associate head coach at Texas Tech…last season the Cougars reached the NCAA Championship for the fifth-straight season and finished with a 14-6 record.
