PEORIA, Ariz. – The Washington State women's golf team is tied with Nebraska for 13th place (+18, 594) after two rounds at the Westbrook Spring Invitational, Sunday, at the Westbrook Village Golf Course.
No. 23 Oregon (-9, 567) leads the field which features two other ranked opponents. Kansas State and No. 24 UNLV are tied for second with a two-round score of 573 (-3).
"Today we fought hard, but struggled to find our rhythm. We learned a lot about what makes this team special and look to finish strong tomorrow," WSU Head Coach Kelli Kamimura said.
Sophomore Alivia Brown is tied for 19th after shooting even par (144) on the day. Brown sits five strokes back of tournament-leader Caroline Inglis of Oregon (-5, 139) after carding four birdies through two rounds.
Senior Monica Huang, competing as an individual, is tied for 30th with a two-round score of 146 (+2), four strokes ahead of sophomore Cherokee Kim and freshman Madison Odiorne. The duo is tied for 54th (+6, 150).
Senior Nani Yanagi is tied for 66th (+8, 152), while sophomore Bree Wanderscheid is tied for 71st (+9, 153).
