WSU CAREER
Freshman (2000-01)...smashed the Washington State University record for the 100 butterfly by marking a time of 55.68 seconds, finishing 14th at the Pac-10 Championships...swam the lead leg for the 400 freestyle relay team that broke the school record and finished seventh at Pac-10's...also was a member of the Cougars' 200 freestyle and 200 medley relay teams, which both broke school records at Pac-10's...clocked a 1:05.02 in the 100 breaststroke en route to placing 18th at Pac-10's and moving herself into second place on WSU's all-time list for that event...established times on the school's top-10 lists for seven events total: 100 fly (1st) 50 free (2nd), 100 breast (2nd), 200 breast (2nd), 100 free (4th), 200 IM (8th), 200 free (10th)...received the team's Most Improved Award and the Coach's Award.
HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB CAREER
Prepped at Valley Christian, where she was coached by Vlade Saphovkoz at the Lakewood Swim Club...as a freshman received the MVP and sportsmanship awards on her high school team...as a sophomore placed sixth in the 100 breaststroke in the state championships...as a junior captured the CIF championship in the 100 breaststroke and 100 butterfly...in the breaststroke she was ranked nationally in the Top 20 by NISCA and was in the top 16 nationally for her age group...named MVP of her high school team...senior year received All-America recognition by NISCA in the 100 breaststroke...again ranked in the top 16 for age group and in NISCA's top 20...again named MVP of high school team.

Born April 30, 1982 in Artesia, California to parents Thomas and Michelle Dong...one brother Jake and one sister Beth...3.77 grade point average as a prep...elected senior class president in high school...enjoys cooking, painting and writing in her spare time...pursuing a degree in exercise science.
