SOPHOMORE (2011-12): Indoor - Ran indoor PR time in 400m of 47.35i at Husky Classic (2/11/12, Seattle)...returned for MPSF Championships and finished eighth in 400m (48.32i)...also ran anchor leg of 1600m relay that finished fourth (3:10.49i)...Outdoor - Top 400m time this season was 47.34 run at WSU-UW Dual meet...at Pac-12 Championships finished sixth in 400m with time of 47.50...also ran second leg of sixth-place 4x400m relay (3:10.74)...at NCAA West Prelims ran 400m in time of 47.95 (37th)...named Pac-12 All-Academic track and field honorable mention.
FRESHMAN (2010-11): Football - Linebacker...2010 redshirt season...Indoor - Joined track team second semester...at Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships ran 400m in 49.05i (15th) and ran third leg on runner-up 4x400m relay team (3:10.80i)...1600m relay ran a time of 3:07.61i at NCAA Last Chance Qualifier (3/5/11, Ames, Iowa) - ran huge third leg in 47.8...time was second-fastest indoor time and ninth-best all-time in WSU men's history...at NCAA Indoor Championships (3/12/11, College Station, Texas), lead leg (Hornsby) pulled hamstring and gimped through to complete his lap but squad finished 10th in time of 3:12.01i...Outdoor - At Pac-10 Championships ran 400m in 47.16 for 10th (5/14/11, Tucson)...also ran third leg of runner-up 4x400m relay team in time of 3:06.40, the fourth-fastest time in WSU history...ran lead leg of 1600 relay that finished 13th at NCAA West Prelims (3:09.39)...took 34th in 400m (48.08).
HIGH SCHOOL CAREER. Earned 10 varsity letters at Wenatchee High...three as linebacker/running back on football team for coach Scott Devereaux...three as a 189-pound wrestler for coach Ed Valdez...four as a sprinter/long jumper for track coach Bob Bullis...on the gridiron, was all-league as linebacker both junior and senior seasons and all-league at running back as a junior...named to all-state honorable mention team at running back in 2009...football team captain senior year...wrestled at state 4A tournament two years and placed third in 189-pounds as senior...on the track won state 4 A championship in 400m dash two consecutive years with 2010 time of 47.78...also on 4x400m relay title team in 2009 and finished second in 200m dash (22.05) and third in long jump (22-9 1/4) at 2010 state meet.
