Cougars Defeated Again in California

BERKELEY, Calif. – In its second dual meet in two days, the Washington State swimming team was defeated by the Golden Bears of California, 164-89.
Elise Locke made the first big splash for the Cougars, placing second in 200 butterfly with a time of 2:05.07. Locke also notched a second-place finish in the 400 IM with her time of 4:37.25.
Senior Emma Johansson also tabbed two second-place finishes. She finished the 50 free in 24.00 seconds, and the 100 butterfly in 56.97
Nicole Proulx, Loree Olson, Frederikke Hall, and Kelly Tannhauser also tabbed second-place finishes in the dual meet.
The next competition for the Cougars is a dual meet against Southern California in Pullman, Wash. The meet is scheduled for Oct. 18.
