Rainbow Wahine Final Results 
HONOLULU, Hawaii - The Washington State women's golf team had two athletes finish in the top 10 of the Rainbow Wahine Invitational in Honolulu Wednesday, as the team went on to place third overall. The women's team carded a 301 in Wednesday's final round, matching its score from the first round Tuesday.
Sophomore Kristen Rue dropped several spots on the leaderboard after shooting a 78 in the last 18 holes. Rue finished tied for sixth place and 6-over par, just four strokes behind the winner of the tournament.
Rue was followed closely by junior teammate Mallory Kent, who tied for ninth place in the competition. Kent shot the best score of all WSU competitors in the final round, with a 73 (+1). Her final score to par of 7-over (223) was just one stroke back from Rue's team-leading mark.
The WSU women's team entered the final round of the tournament in third place and maintained that spot with their collective 13-over par effort in the last 18 holes. WSU gained two strokes on the Toledo women (second, +33) in the span of the last round, losing the battle for second place by just one stroke. Florida International won the competition with a team score to par of 31-over.
WSU's Lindsay Harmon and Rachel Lewis each finished in the top 25. Both athletes finished tied for 21st place (12-over, 228).
The individual tournament title was won by Shelby Coyle of Florida International. She beat Eastern Michigan's Sarah Johnson with a 15-foot birdie put on the first playoff hole. Both athletes finished 2-over par for the tournament.
This competition marks the final tournament for the Washington State women's team in the fall season. The team will open its spring season competing in The Gold Rush in California, to be hosted by Long Beach in mid-February.
