Rainbow Wahine Day 1 Results 
HONOLULU, Hawaii - Washington State sophomore Kristen Rue took the outright lead of the Rainbow Wahine Invitational in Honolulu after the first two rounds of the tournament Tuesday.The WSU women's golf team finished the first day of competition in third place at 21-over par collectively.
Rue shot scores of 71 and 73 in the first and second rounds, respectively, leaving her atop the leaderboard at even-par on the day. Her 71 in the first round tied for the best score in the first two rounds of the tournament.
The Washington State women's team finished the first 36 holes of the tournament behind Toledo (tied for first+19) and Florida International (tied for first, +19), both of which were tied for first place on the team leaderboard. Washington State sits just two strokes behind the leading teams with one round left to play.
Cougar freshman Rachel Lewis and junior Mallory Kent each finished six strokes behind Rue. Lewis and Kent were both tied for 12th place after the first two rounds of competition, each with scores to par of 6-over. Senior Emma Betland and sophomore Lindsay Harmon rounded out the lineup for WSU with marks of 10-over par each (tied for 30th).
Competing teams will play the final 18 holes of the tournament Wednesday. The last round will have an 11 a.m. Pacific shotgun start. This will be the final round of the fall season for the WSU women's golf team.
