Round 2 Results Get Acrobat Reader

LAS VEGAS, Nev. - The Washington State women's golf team was led in Monday's second round of the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown by senior Emma Betland, who shot a team-best score of 1-over par. The WSU women shot 24-over par collectively in the second round, leaving them tied for 15th with one round remaining in the tournament.

Betland shot the best score of any Cougar thus far in the tournament, carding a 73 (+1) in the second round. Her team-leading mark left her at 9-over par (153) for the tournament. Betland is leading the WSU women's team with one round left to play, as she is tied for 28th place.

Mallory Kent followed Betland with the second-best team score for the Cougars in round two. Kent carded a 77 (+5) to bring her tournament score to par to 14-over. She is tied for 57th place overall.

"We are excited for a solid final round," Head Coach Kelli Kamimura said. "The conditions were tough today and the team showed improvement. Emma played great - she had a solid round and finished strong. We are looking to climb the leaderboard tomorrow."

The Washington State women's team is tied for 15th place with regional opponent Idaho at 52-over par through the first 36 holes. Central Florida sits atop the team leaderboard with 18 holes left in the tournament (+20, 596).

The final 18 holes of the tournament will be played Tuesday at the Stallion Mountain Golf Club in Las Vegas. The final round will begin with a shotgun start at 7:45 a.m. Live results will once again be available at golfstat.com during tournament play, and results will be posted online at wsucougars.com at the end of the competition.
