Cougars Finish 12th at Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational

SAMMAMISH, Wash.- The Washington State University women's golf team carded a final round score of 331 (+43) to finish 12th with a 968 (+104) 54-hole total at the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational, Wednesday, hosted by the University of Washington.

The Cougars were paced by sophomore Mallory Kent who fired a 79 (+7). Kent finished the tournament tied for 27th at 232.

Freshman Kristen Rue finished the event with a 83 (+11), giving her a three-round score of 243. Junior Emma Betland shot a third round score of 85 (+13) and concluded the event with a total score of 244. Senior Kristen Allard posted an 84 (+12), finishing at 249 while junior Brenda Jesernig carded a 90 (+18) in the final round of play to finish with a 258.

The Cougars return to action Oct. 21-23 for the Pac-12/SEC Challenge in Knoxville, Tenn.
