SPOKANE, Wash. - Kassidy Fitzpatrick scored less than a minute into overtime and Colorado defeated Washington State 2-1 at the Gonzaga Women's Soccer Tournament, Friday.

The game-winner came off a corner kick that was punched away by Washington State (2-6-0) goalkeeper Meghan Berlingo directly to Fitzpatrick who put it home to give Colorado (3-3-0) the victory.

The Buffaloes took a 1-0 lead in the 41st minute when Hayley Hughes scored on a rebound of her own shot that was blocked by a Cougar defender. Less than a minute later, Washington State tied the match on Micaela Castain's fifth goal of the season, all in the last three matches.

After a turnover, Castain sent a shot toward the goal from 30 yards out. The ball caromed off the left post and across the goal line for the equalizer.

Washington State will be on the road again when it takes part in the Outriggers Hotels and Resorts Soccer Classic, Friday and Saturday hosted by Hawai'i.
