Boulder City, Nev. - The Washington State women's golf team had a rough first round at the UNLV Spring Rebel Invitational, held at the par-72, 6,234-yard Boulder Creek Golf Club. After the first round of play the Cougar squad is in 18th.
Senior Amy Eneroth and freshmen Andrea Rosete were the top finishers for the Cougars finishing with a first-round score of 82 (+10). They will enter the second day in a tie for 48th.
Redshirt sophomore Allison Travis finished the day in third for WSU and carded a first round score of 84 (+12).
Jessica Black and Kristen Allard rounded out the Cougar lineup and shot an 89 (+17) during the opening round.
WSU will look to make up lost ground tomorrow with tee times beginning at 7:30 a.m., followed by final-round action on Wednesday.
