LOWELL, Ore. - The Washington State University women's varsity eight lost to No. 17 Stanford and No. 19 Oregon State Saturday, April 28, at Dexter Lake. The varsity eight finished with a time of 7:07.29, behind the Cardinal, 6:55.77, and the host Beaver squad, 7:00.30.
The Cougars finished second in all other races in Lowell, Ore. The second varsity eight had the best showing of the morning, finishing just three second behind Oregon State with a time of 7:07.29. The Beavers finished the 2,000 meter course in 7:04.20. The WSU varsity four completed the race in 8:11.04 and finished behind Stanford's time of 8:04.35.
The WSU novice eight, 7:27.22, and second novice eight, 7:56.36, finished behind Oregon State in head-to-head races.
In two weeks, the Cougars will travel to compete at the Pacific-10 Championships.
