Erin McCleave Concludes First Day at NCAA Championships

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Senior Erin McCleave concluded the first day of competition at the 2007 NCAA Division I Swimming and Diving Championships Thursday in Minneapolis. She swam in the 500 freestyle where she turned in a final time of 4:54.76 to place 58th in the event.
McCleave was seeded eighth in the 500 freestyle event, the highest seeding ever by a WSU swimmer at the national championship meet.
Competition resumes Friday as the Rutherglen, Australia native will compete in the 200 freestyle. She earned the 25th seed and owns the WSU record in the event.
