PULLMAN, Wash. -- Junior Milton Riley led five Washington State players in double figure scoring with 13 points and 11 rebounds as the Cougars routed the Brisbane Capitals 93-58 in a men's basketball exhibition game Wednesday.

Junior Jerry McNair added a game-high 23 points, including a 5-for-8 shooting effort from three-point range. Senior J Locklier, the 2001 Pacific-10 Conference Newcomer of the Year, contributed 23 points and seven rebounds.

The Cougars struggled in the first half and led only 39-33 at intermission. However, WSU outscored Brisbane 54-25 in the second stanza to pull away.

Sophomore Marcus Moore, a member of the 2001 Pacific-10 All-Freshman Team, nearly recorded a triple-double with 18 points, nine assists and seven steals. The assists and steals were both game-highs.

All five Cougar starters scored in double figures, capped by junior Justin Lyman's 13 points.

"We showed some signs in the second half of being a pretty good basketball team," WSU Head Coach Paul Graham said. "I was glad we were able to play somebody different than ourselves for a change."

Riley added, "For the most part, everyone responded well once we got settled in. We have some depth this year."

WSU shot 53-percent from the floor, including 57-percent in the second half.

The Cougars will conclude their exhibition season, Thursday, Nov. 15 in Pullman when they host Lewis-Clark State College. The game will be the season-opener for LCSC and count in the Warriors' won-loss record.
