PROVO, Utah - The Cougar soccer team fell 3-0 at BYU Monday, bringing their record to an even 1-1 after a split in Utah.

Although the 14th ranked BYU Cougars dominated first-half play finishing the first half on top 2-0 and outshooting WSU 16-1, Washington State held BYU to only six shots in the second half.

"We did a good job in the second half," head coach Dan Tobias said. "We made some adjustments at half time and they only had a few chances in the second half."

1999 Academic All-American goalkeeper Lindsey Jorgensen (North Bend, Wash.) made 10 saves in net, bringing her weekend total to 21.

Tobias says he is happy with the weekend split and pointed out the positives of this weekend's road trip. "We played seven freshmen this weekend and they all got their feet wet. We got a split on our tough road trip, and we're looking forward to our trip to the east coast this coming weekend and two successful matches," Tobias said.

The Cougars will play in the Navy Tournament next weekend taking on East Carolina September 8 at 12 p.m. PST and Navy September 10 at 9 a.m. PST.
