PULLMAN, Wash. - Washington State won its second consecutive soccer game in nearly the same fashion as Friday's win over Louisville.

The Cougars scored one first half goal and two second half goals to down Wyoming 3-0 in a non-conference game.

"Two 3-0 victories this weekend, we will definitely take those," said WSU coach Dan Tobias. "I'm pleased with the results. Our level of play is always expected to get better."

Christina Pallan (Las Vegas, Nev.) opened up the scoring for WSU (3-1-0) in the 14th minute when she nailed a free kick from 20-yards out in to the upper right corner.

In the second half, a majority of the possession was played in the Cougars' defensive half, but WSU did score two insurance goals. The first came from Deka DeWitt (Auburn, Wash.) received a Katrina Stroh (Federal Way, Wash.) pass inside the 18-yard box and hit a shot into the net in the 73rd minute.

"We scored some quality goals," Tobias said.

DeWitt scored the final goal on a penalty kick after Natalie Kehl (Colbert, Wash.) was dragged down inside the box in the 81st minute.

Goalkeeper Lindsey Jorgensen (North Bend, Wash.) made seven saves for her ninth career shutout. Jorgensen is one shutout away from tying Jessica Glazer on the career shutouts list with 10.

The Cougars will leave for Missoula, Mont. on Friday to play in a tournament hosted by the University of Montana. WSU takes on Utah at 1 p.m. on Saturday and Montana on Sunday before returning home.
