STANFORD, Calif. - The Washington State women's golf team is 16th after two rounds at the par 72 Stanford Women's Intercollegiate. The 36th annual event features 12 of the nation's top 25 teams.
Junior Jennifer Dodd (Portland, Ore.) and sophomore Tasha Browner (Tarzana, Calif.) are tied for 54th, tops among Cougar golfers. Dodd fired a first round 75 and an 80 on Saturday as Browner put together consistent rounds of 77 and 78. Both are 16 strokes off of the individual lead at 155. Senior Jenny Ballou (Portland, Ore.) carded a two round total of 156 and is tied for 61st.
Tulsa's Stacy Prammanasudh is the individual tournament leader, shooting a first round 73 and then exploding for a second round six-under par 66. Pepperdine's Tamie Durdin, ranked fifth in the nation, is three strokes off the lead at 142. San Jose State's Jessica Krantz is third on the leader board, carding a two round 143.
Prammanasudh and teammate Stacy Rambin, who is currently fourth, have helped Tulsa (582) take a three stroke lead over Pepperdine (585) in the team standings. New Mexico State and Arizona State are tied for fourth at 593. Arizona is fifth heading into the final round, 15 strokes back at 597.
