Pat Haley
- Induction:
- 2012
- Class:
- 1943
Pat Haley competed for Washington State track and field during the years of World War II and had four coaches in four years. In 1940, he held the national freshman record in the 100 yards at 9.5 seconds. He won the Pacific Coast Conference sprint titles at 100 yards, 220 yards, 110 hurdles, and 220 yard low hurdles (three times). Despite his dominance in sprints and hurdles, Haley did not have the opportunity to compete in the NCAA Championships because of suspension of the national collegiate meets during the war years of 1942-44.
