Kiersten Dallstream is one of the most successful student-athletes in Washington State soccer history and the first Cougar player drafted to play professional soccer. Dallstream arrived in Pullman in 2006 and capped an illustrious career with her name scattered throughout the WSU record book. In her time on the Palouse (2006-09), Dallstream scored 30 career goals, tallied 16 assists as a forward and finished her collegiate career third all-time at WSU in both categories. She led the Cougars to back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances for the first time in school history. Dallstream earned national recognition, including All-West Region First Team in 2008, All-Pacific Region Second Team in 2009 and three times was named to Pac-10 All-Conference Teams. At the conclusion of her junior season, Dallstream joined the U.S. U-20 Youth National Team and helped the Americans win the 2008 U-20 World Cup in Chile. Returning for her senior season in 2009, Dallstream scored 13 goals, the first Coug to do so since fellow Hall of Fame inductee Kim Lynass in 1992. She put together a 10-match streak through the month of September with at least one goal or assist in each game. Concluding her collegiate career, Dallstream was named WSU’s Pac-10 Medal Winner, NSCAA Scholar-Athlete, and was drafted ninth overall in the 2010 WPS Draft by the Los Angeles Sol. She went on to have a decade-long professional career with Sky Blue FC, Boston Breakers, and Seattle Reign. During the 2014 NWSL season, Dallstream helped the Reign to the regular-season championship and the NWSL Shield. She retired from professional soccer in July 2019 with 97 all-time appearances and six goals.
