Ed Gayda

Ed Gayda was a big man in basketball for Washington State Head Coach Jack Friel, 1947-50. He scored 1,061 points in his career and averaged more than 12 points a game during both his junior and senior seasons. He was All-Pacific Coast Conference Northern Division as a junior and led WSC to the Northern Division title as a senior. He was drafted by the NBA’s Tri-Cities Blackhawks (later the Atlanta Hawks) and played 14 games as a rookie.
