Anthony Wallace joined the Cougars’ coaching staff prior to the 2019 season.
Before beginning his coaching career, Wallace played 11 seasons of professional soccer. He signed with Major League Soccer as a Generation Adidas player and was selected by FC Dallas as the ninth overall pick in the 2007 MLS SuperDraft. After making six appearances for Dallas’ reserve team, Wallace made his debut for Dallas on September 15, 2007, in a 4-2 defeat to New England Revolution.  In 2010 he would win an MLS Cup championship as a starter with the Colorado Rapids, the first championship for the Rapids.Â
During his career Wallace would play for FC Dallas, Colorado Rapids, Tampa Bay Rowdies, New York Red Bulls, Jacksonville Armada, and Oklahoma City Energy.Â
In addition to professional play, Wallace played for the United States Under-17 and Under-18 teams and was a member of the USA Under-20 National squad in the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup held in Canada. He earned his first cap for the senior team in 2011.
Wallace and his wife, Kaila, have one son, Makai.
