WASHINGTON STATE CAREER
Junior (2023-2024) - Played in 34 of 35 games and started in 20 games... averaged 12.6 points, 4.6 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 0.5 steals, and 0.2 blocks per game... shot 139-of-319 from the field posting a 43.6 field goal percentage... scored a career-high 27 points at No. 4 Arizona (Feb. 22) and home against UCLA (March 2)... earned All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention... shot 10-of-10 at the free throw line, the first WSU men’s player to do it since March 2nd, 2020. Â
SONOMA STATE CAREER
Wells completed one of the most successful offensive seasons in Sonoma State history, leading the league in scoring with 22.1 points per game and tied for first in rebounding with 8.7 boards per contest. The Sacramento sophomore shot .523 percent from the field (fourth CCAA) and .858 percent from the free throw line (second CCAA). A Division II All-American, Wells was named the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Player of the Year, leading the league in scoring and tied for first in rebounds. Wells recorded 10 double-doubles, scoring at least 13 points in every game. He topped the 30-point plateau seven times, including a season-best 38 points against CCAA Champions, Cal State San Bernardino. His efforts helped Sonoma State go from the team picked last in the preseason coaches’ poll to earning its first berth in the CCAA Tournament since 2017.
