RS-SENIOR (2017-2018) – In his lone season at Washington State as a graduate transfer, started 24 of 29 games played for the Cougars…missed the first game of the season following off-season knee surgery…led WSU in rebounding and ranked 12th in the Pac-12 and 203rd nationally with 6.9 rebounds per game…was second on the team with 2.7 apg…had breakout game at UTEP (Dec. 9) with 13 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists…followed with a then-WSU high 13 rebounds along with 9 points against IUPUI (Dec. 16)…had lone double-double of WSU career Dec. 22 against Bethune-Cookman with 10 points and 15 rebounds…had a WSU-high 9 assists against California (Jan. 13)…compiled five double-figure scoring games in Pac-12 play back-to-back games of 14 and 16 points, respectively at California (Feb. 22) and Stanford (Feb. 24).

PRIOR TO WSU – Attended Denver and played for the Pioneers during the 2013-14 season…averaged 2.1 points and 2.4 rebounds per game as a true FRESHMAN…transferred to North Dakota prior to his sophomore season, sitting out the 2014-15 season as a redshirt…played two seasons (2015-16 and 2016-17) with the Fighting Hawks…played in 33 games as a RS-SOPHOMORE averaging 9.1 points and 9.7 rebounds per game…played in 31 games as a RS-JUNIOR (2016-17), averaging 8.3 points per game, while shooting over 53 percent from the floor…helped lead the Fighting Hawks to the 2017 NCAA Tournament where they fell to Arizona in the first round.

HIGH SCHOOL – Earned three letters in basketball at Cherokee Trail High School in Aurora, Colo.…earned class 5A all-Colorado honors after averaging 19.0 points and 9.7 rebounds per game as a senior.

PERSONAL – Born Roderick Bernstine, November of 1994 at Denver, Colo.…father Rod played football in the NFL from 1987-1995 for the San Diego Chargers and Denver Broncos….mother Stephanie…has an older sister, Payton…grandfather, Gary Smith, attended Washington State…enjoys hanging out with friends and video games…pursuing his master’s degree in sport management at WSU.
