Katie Bohnhoff

Katie Bohnhoff (formerly Appleton) was named the video coordinator July of 2016, making her return to Washington State after an impressive collegiate career for the Cougars.

Bohnhoff played at Washington State from 2005-09 and returned to her alma mater to assume video responsibilities, in addition to alumni outreach and scout team coordination.

During her time in a Cougar uniform, Bohnhoff played two seasons under coach Sherri Murrell before Daugherty took over in 2007 prior to Bohnhoff’s junior season. She still holds the school record for 3-pointers with 161 made shots from beyond the arc and averaged 9.3 ppg and 3.5 rpg over her career. Bohnhoff became the 12th Cougar in program history to score 1,000 points. She finished her career with a then-school record 110 starts, three Pac-10 All-Academic honors, and an All-Pac-10 honorable mention. In 2009, Bohnhoff was named the WSU Female Student-Athlete of the Year and earned a WSU Big Ten Senior Award.

Prior to returning to Pullman, Bohnhoff worked for the Bluehawks at Dickinson State University in North Dakota.

In her time since graduating from Washington State, Bohnhoff has had coaching stints as an assistant coach at Cozad High School (Neb.) and the women’s varsity head coach at Lexington High School (Neb.). While she was coaching, Bohnhoff also worked at the YMCA in Lexington, Neb. In five years with the YMCA organization, she rose from program manager to executive branch manager and interim CEO.

Bohnhoff graduated with a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from WSU in 2009. She is married to her husband, Brian, who is also a Washington State alumnus.
