John Andrzejek

A top analytics assistant, John Andrzejek enters his third season as an assistant coach at Washington State.

Prior to coming to WSU, Andrzejek spent one year as an assistant coach and offensive coordinator at Dartmouth for the 2018-19 season. While at Dartmouth, Andrzejek took the team's offense to new heights, finishing with their highest offensive efficiency ranking per KenPom.com since the 1997 season. From behind the arc, the Big Green set a school record in three-point shooting hitting an all-time high 264 three-pointers on the year.

Andrzejek enjoyed a terrific season as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Johns Hopkins in 2017-18. The Blue Jays finished the season with a record of 24-5, winning the Centennial Conference regular season and tournament crowns. The team was ranked 12th in the coaches' poll — its highest ranking ever — and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Division III Tournament. His recruiting efforts also landed six players who were admitted via early decision. In addition to his recruiting efforts, Andrzejek oversaw the No. 1 scoring defense in Division III basketball as the team allowed a division low 59.9 points per game while allowing the fewest made three-pointers per game in the country. Andrzejek got his first taste of head coaching during the year as well as he was the acting head coach for the Blue Jays' 85-63 win over Mulenberg.

In 2016-17, Andrzejek was the director of basketball operations at the University of San Francisco, which went 20-13 for the program's second-most wins in a season in over 30 years and was crowned as the most improved program in Division I by KenPom.com. Among his duties were managing the program budget, team travel and player schedules, overseeing study halls and organizing all community outreach programs as part of the university's Jesuit mission.

While completing his undergraduate degree in philosophy in just two and a half years from Columbia in 2013, Andrzejek served as the Lions' team manager during the 2012-13 and 2013-14 campaigns before being hired as the director of basketball operations in July of 2014. In his second season in that role, Columbia racked up the most wins (25) in program history en route to claiming the CIT championship.

In addition to his collegiate coaching experience, Andrzejek has spent time as an assistant coach for USA East Coast All-Stars teams that played throughout Finland, Estonia, France, and Italy in 2014 and 2015.
