The Cougars received hits from

Trevor Stowe fired three scoreless frames with three strikeouts for his best outing of the season.

Fresno State, who entered the weekend first in the Mountain West Conference standings, used a pair of three-run second and third innings to back starter Aidan Cremarosa who struck out 11 and allowed four hits over eight innings.

KEY MOMENTS OF THE GAME
WSU threatened with the first after putting runners on the corners but the FSU leftfielder made a nice running catch near the left field line to end the inning. In the second, a two-out three-run home run to right field gave Fresno State a 3-0 lead.

The Bulldogs pushed their lead to 6-0 with three runs in the third on four hits and added two more in the fifth on two hits and an error for an 8-0 lead.
