Academic Services March Student-Athletes of the Month

PULLMAN, Wash. (April 24, 2025) – Washington State swimming's Emily Lundgren and baseball's Griffin Myers were each named the Academic Services Student-Athletes of the Month for March 2025.
 
Lundgren owns a 4.00 GPA while majoring in digital technology and culture, serves as the communications chair for the SAAC and interns with the WSU creative video department. In March, the junior from Chula Vista, Calif. capped the best season in program history, earning a pair of All-America honors and was named the Mountain West Conference Swimmer of the Year after winning a pair of Mountain West individual titles in the 200 IM and 200 breast and helped the 200 medley relay and 400 medley relay teams to conference titles. Lundgren, who qualified for her third straight NCAA Championships, earned All-America Honorable Mention in the 100 breast and became WSU's first All-American after finishing sixth in the 200 breast in the NCAA Championships final, the best finish by any swimmer in program history.
 
Myers owns a 3.15 GPA while majoring in finance and also works as a PAC counselor. The redshirt-junior catcher from Pleasanton, Calif. is hitting .333 with 11 hits including four doubles, nine RBI and four runs scored. Myers had a pinch-hit single in the series win over Iowa in Texas played in the early March and a two-run single in the series win over Seattle U. Myers broke out with a pinch-hit double and scored the game-winning run against San Jose State and had three hits, two doubles and four RBI in the win over New Mexico.
