Alice Johansson Paces Cougs at WCC Championships

FAIRFIELD, Calif. (April 19, 2025) – Sophomore Alice Johansson and senior Madelyn Gamble each fired final rounds of 73 at the 2025 West Coast Conference Championships in Northern California.

The championships are being held at the Green Valley Country Club in Fairfield, Calif.

Johansson carded an opening round 73 Thursday, a second-round 75 and tallied a front-nine 34 en route to a final-round 73 to tie for tenth at five over, pacing WSU. Senior Sarah Skovgaard-Bils capped her week with a 78 to finish the tournament tied for 16th at +8, Gamble tied for 18th after recording four birdies in her final round to finish +10 and junior Hannah Harrison posted a final-round 75 to tie for 23rd. Freshman Grace Rubelsky subbed in for the final round and carded a 77 with a pair of birdies Saturday.

The Cougars finished the WCC Championships in fifth place.

The Course and Tournament Format
The WCC Championships were played at the Green Valley Country Club in Fairfield, Calif.

The course played as a par-72 at 6,170 yards.
Teams played 18 holes each day.
