COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (February 26, 2025) – Ten Washington State Swimmers and four relay teams received All-Mountain West Conference honors, the conference office announced Wednesday.
At last weekend's 2025 Mountain West Conference Championships in Houston, the Cougars tallied five individual event titles and two relay titles en route to their best finish at a conference championships in program history, finishing fifth.
The ten swimmers who earned All-Mountain West as individuals were
Dori Hathazi,
Ashlyn Hernandez,
Hannah Huarte,
Tatum Janning,
Emily Lundgren,
Anna Rauchholz,
Darcy Revitt,
Ariel Wang,
Lauren Wille and
Emma Wright.
The four relay teams named All-MWC were the 200 medley (Rauchholz, Lundgren,
Addyson Lewis), 400 medley (Rauchholz, Lundgren, Hathazi, Wright), 200 free (Revitt, Lundgren, Lewis, Wright) and 400 free (Wright,
Angela Di Palo, Hathazi, Revitt.)
Di Palo, a senior from Naples, Italy, helped the 400 free relay team to a third-place finish after swimming the second leg.
Hathazi earned all-conference honors in the 100 fly, 200 free and 200 fly after winning the 200 fly, finished fifth in the 200 free and sixth in the 100 fly. The junior from Nyiregyhaza, Hungary helped the 400 Medley Relay team to a conference title and the 400 free relay to a third-place finish.
Hernandez, a freshman from San Diego, picked up all-league recognition after finishing sixth in the 200 breast and eighth in the 100 breast.
Huarte, a sophomore from Sammamish, Wash., finished sixth in the 1650 free while Tatum, a freshman from Dallas, Texas earned the same recognition after finishing fifth in the same event.
Lewis, a sophomore from Missoula, Mont., helped the 200 medley relay team to a conference title and the 200 free relay to a second-place finish, swimming third on both relays.
Lundgren was named the Mountain West Conference Championships Swimmer of the Meet after claiming individual titles in the 200 IM and 200 breast, and helped the 200 medley relay and 400 medley relay teams to titles. The junior from Chula Vista, Calif. tallied the second-most points in the meet also finished second in the 100 fly and helped the 200 free relay team finish second.
Rauchholz, a junior from Portland, picked up all-league honors after finishing sixth in the 100 back and led off the 200 medley relay and 400 medley relay wins.
Revitt was named the MWC Championships Co-Freshman of the Meet after winning a pair of individual titles in the 50 free and 100 free along with a relay win in the 200 medley. The freshman from Guildford, England also led off the second-place 200 free relay team and anchored the 400 free relay team who placed third.
Wang, a sophomore from Mckinney, Texas and Taoyuan, Taiwan, earned all-league recognition after placing second in the 400 IM, fourth in the 200 back and fifth in the 200 IM.
Wille, a junior from Oswego, Ill., picked up All-Mountain West recognition after fishing seventh in the 1650 free.
Wright picked up all-league recognition after finishing fifth in both the 50 free and 100 free events. The senior from Hobart, Ind. anchored the winning 400 medley relay and the second-place 200 free relay teams, and also led off the 400 free relay team who placed third.
WSU produced its best finish at a conference championships, finishing fifth with 975 points, just behind Nevada's 998 and Fresno State's 1,011. San Diego State won its fourth straight conference title while UNLV followed close behind.
The Cougars will await the NCAA selections for the NCAA Championships at Federal Way, Wash. set for March 19-22.
