Cougar Football Hour Returns Aug. 28 at The Lumberyard

PULLMAN, Wash. — Washington State's weekly Cougar Football Hour radio show will make its 2025 return Aug. 28, in advance of the Aug. 30 football opener against the University of Idaho at Gesa Field. The show will be hosted live at the Lumberyard Food Hall in Pullman.

PULLMAN, Wash. — Washington State's weekly Cougar Football Hour radio show will make its 2025 return Aug. 28, in advance of the Aug. 30 football opener against the University of Idaho at Gesa Field. The show will be hosted live at the Lumberyard Food Hall in Pullman.

The Cougar Football Hour will air on Thursday nights from 6-7 p.m. Voice of the Cougars, Chris King, will return as host and be joined weekly by head coach Jimmy Rogers, along with Washington State Football student-athletes and members of the coaching staff. The show will be broadcast on the Cougar Sports Network, including radio affiliates KQQQ in Pullman, KXLY in Spokane and KTTH in Seattle.

The Cougar Football Hour will also be video streamed live on WSU's Facebook Live platform at Facebook.com/WashingtonStateFootball and on WSU Cougar Athletics YouTube channel. Live audio for the Cougar Football Hour plus game broadcasts will be available online to stream at WSUCougars.com and through the WSU Cougars Gameday App. Fans can also listen to the show on-demand through the Washington State Cougars Podcast channel.

The Cougar Football Hour is a production of the Cougar Sports Network, which also produces live radio play-by-play broadcasts of WSU football, men's basketball, women's basketball, baseball and volleyball games. The football broadcast crew featuring Chris King, analyst Alex Brink and sideline reporter Jessamyn McIntyre, return to bring fans all the action. Football broadcasts begin two hours before kickoff, carry through the game and conclude with coach and player interviews on the Coug Talk postgame show. Derek Deis hosts pre and postgame coverage and is joined by former WSU players Grady Emmerson and Billy Newman throughout the season.
